Enhancing Lives through Transplantation
Love and compassion are necessities, not luxeries. Without them humanity cannot survive.

Safeguarding tissue from donor to recipient

All transplant tissue provided by Northwest Tissue Services is from regional donors, evaluated by the Northwest Tissue Services staff, recovered in our operating room, tested under our direction, and distributed and tracked by the Northwest Tissue Services team.

At Northwest Tissue Services, we are committed to providing our client hospitals and surgeons with allografts that meet the highest possible safety and ethical standards. One way we accomplish this is through GraftTrack, our unique donor to recipient custodial process that carefully documents all aspects of the recovery, testing, storing, distribution and tracking of tissue so that hospitals and surgeons can be confident in the safety of the tissue we provide.

The ability to track tissue from donor to recipient is a critical part of Northwest Tissue Services' overall program of safety. If a problem that might impact the quality and safety of the tissue we supply is ever suspected, NWTS would be able to contact our client hospitals and notify surgeons and patients with complete and accurate information about that tissue.
