When faced with the decision to donate, Mary’s daughter Judy says that the family could “only rise to the occasion and do what Mom would want us to do for her…show a higher love.” Mary had a passion for gardening and she especially loved roses, though she could make anything grow. In a letter to a cornea recipient, her daughter writes, “There isn’t a day that goes by that I do not think of Mom…I tear up…then smile as I remember our extended family, all of the recipients.
